K8 Memo

Good Monday Morning,

The Mary Walker High School graduation ceremony on Saturday was a delightful occasion as we celebrated our graduates. The high school team excelled in organizing the event.  As I Attended multiple graduation parties this week, I was truly fascinated to hear students share stories about how teachers, coaches, and school staff motivated and inspired them to recognize their own strengths and conquer their challenges.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all of our K8 team who consistently serve as role models and mentors, wholeheartedly dedicated to ensuring the success of every student. Thank you!

Another big thank you goes out to Jo, Heidi, and Cameron for their dedication and commitment to our 6th grade students. They did a fabulous job leading the 6th grade two-night camp last week.

This week promises to be filled with excitement as we conclude with some special end-of-year activities.

K8 Memo

Good morning,

It's hard to believe the 2023-24 school year is coming to a close in just two short weeks. The end of the school year always seems to fly by. I encourage you to take some time to pause, reflect with your students on their learning experiences and growth this year, and encourage them to finish strong.

KREM2 Book Giveaway

A big thank you to the K-5 Team for their fantastic work in pulling together for the KREM2 Book Giveaway. Several staff and community members nominated our school for this event. Laura reported that the nominations show evidence that our school is working to create a positive reading culture. Thank you, K-5 team!

FastBridge Testing Wrapup

Diane and the MTSS team have done an exceptional job wrapping up testing with the primary classes. Please be sure all students in your classes have completed the testing.  Additionally, if you have not already done so, please be sure to complete the SAEBRS testing in your classroom.

SBAC

State testing has concluded. Thank you, teachers, for being thorough and focused as students completed their testing. Becky coordinated the creation of supportive snacks, while Bailey and Mandy helped package and deliver them. Mary resolved individual issues, and Keturah led and coordinated makeup sessions. Thank you all!

K8 Gym Remodel (Action Needed)

It is excited to see progress on the gym remodel.  Here is the color scheme for the layout.  Please share any thoughts, comments or suggestions.
