It was beautiful to see the return of winter this weekend. The fresh snow and cold days really engaged the Christmas spirit at our home. We had fun decorating and shopping for our most favorite time of the year.
The holidays are joy-filled celebrations with family and friends for many of us. Sadly, this is not the case for all of our students. Last Monday, I was reminded of this when a deputy sheriff stopped by the school while investigating a domestic violence case from Thanksgiving Day. It was heartbreaking to hear the young student retell the violence from their holiday. It was so sad to listen to the student share three other horrific accounts of the hospitalizing violence that this student has endured in their young life.
I know how caring and protective you are of our students. Frequently, your classrooms are the safest place for our students to be! Thank you for creating warm and safe places for our kids.

Appreciation
