K8 Weekly Memo

I hope you all had a fantastic Labor Day weekend.  Is sure enjoyed the beautiful weather and quality time spent with family and friends. It's always refreshing to have those moments of connection as we gear up for the week ahead.

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude for an exceptional first week of school. We were pleasantly surprised by the influx of new students—35 in total, with 11 of them joining us with IEPs. Mary and Carol have been working diligently to ensure we have clarity on the services these new students require. It’s been truly inspiring to see how everyone has stepped up with care, kindness, and unwavering support for our students. While most of our class sizes are looking really good, we will need to make some adjustments to our para support to meet these new needs. Your dedication and flexibility in these moments are deeply appreciated.

As we step into week two, we have the joy of welcoming our preschool and kindergarten students to our school community. Let’s make sure to give our youngest scholars a warm and loving welcome as they embark on their learning journey with us.

Thank you for everything you do. Your passion and commitment are what make our school such a special place for students to learn and grow.

Have a wonderful week!

MTSS News

MTSS News! Happy second week of school everyone! As we move into this second week I’m hopeful that the tables and chairs for the MTSS room will arrive this week, as I’m excited to start working with kids! I spent last week becoming even more familiar with the FastBridge system, getting your student logins ready to go, developing a scheduling plan, reviewing the interventions that were in place with kiddos last year, and completing an inventory of intervention materials. The FastBridge Testing window will open on Monday, September 9th. There are headphones in the MTSS room if you need to borrow them.

  • 4-8 administers the aReading, Auto Reading, aMath, Auto Math, MySAEBRS, and the teachers complete the SAEBRS

If you need a refresher on these assessments, login to FastBridge, go to the Training and Resources tab, then scroll down to review the assessments.

The data review day is scheduled for Thursday, September 19th. You will be receiving a Rotating Sub Schedule soon.

If you need assistance with any of this, please let me know and I will do my very best to help (remember… I’m still learning this system so I’m already appreciative of the grace you're all going to provide)! Have a great week everyone!
