I trust this message finds you refreshed and ready for the week ahead. I hope your weekend was filled with moments of rest and renewal. Mine was a mix of productivity and restoration—I spent Saturday morning working on the Levy with Mr. Spears and then helped a friend with a project. By Saturday evening, I started feeling under the weather, so I turned to a trusted remedy: warm honey tea and an early bedtime. Sunday became a true day of rest and recovery—and it made all the difference.
As we step into another busy week, I encourage you to prioritize your health. A few simple habits can help ward off those winter colds: wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your face, and stay hydrated.
Let’s take care of ourselves so we can continue support our students, families, and one another. May this week be filled with purpose and joy as we do our good work.
Ballots for the Levy have been delivered and are due back by February 11. This is an important opportunity to support our students and community. I encourage you to remind your friends and family to complete their ballots and return them as soon as possible. Every vote makes a difference in helping us continue to provide the best for our schools!
Below is a graphic you can include in your weekly communications to help spread the word. Together, let’s ensure our community is informed and engaged.
Thank you for being champions for our students and their future!
Nurse Sherrie
Please note that Nurse Sherri will be off campus on February 3rd and 4th. Upon her return, she will be hosting a Vaccine Clinic in the conference room on February 13th. If you have questions or need assistance while she is away, feel free to reach out to the front office.
High School Theater Performance
A big round of applause to Mrs. Shelton and her high school drama team for their incredible performance of The Pirate Medallion! Their hard work and talent truly shone on stage. The team is considering an encore performance for our building—stay tuned for more details soon!
Formal Observation Emails
As part of our winter formal observations, I will be sending out personal emails to schedule 3-4 observations each week. Please keep an eye on your inbox for your invitation. I’m excited to visit your classrooms and witness the impactful teaching and learning happening every day.
Student Access Days (Action Needed)
Our Friday Access Days provide an invaluable opportunity for students to catch up on coursework and receive extra support. Please encourage students who are struggling or falling behind to attend. Including a reminder in your weekly communication with families is a great way to increase awareness and participation.
Continued Custodial Support (Action Needed)
Thank you for supporting our custodial team by embedding these actions into your daily routines. Not only does this help maintain a clean and organized learning environment, but it also teaches our students the importance of teamwork and serving others.
Please ensure the following are completed each day:
Empty Trash: Take classroom trash to the gondola by the 5th-grade bathroom.
Tidy the Room: Pick up all items and trash from the floor.
Organize Supplies: Neatly put away all school supplies and resources.
Stack Chairs: Place chairs in stacks or on desks.
Your efforts are greatly appreciated and make a noticeable difference. Thank you for your partnership in keeping our school a welcoming space for all!
