State Testing.
Please be sure to have your classroom set up and ready for testing before students arrive. This includes having the proctor manual ready, test tickets, and the classroom prepared(seating arrangement, cover or removal of anchor posters, etc.)

Kindergarten Registration Opens Today
Please encourage families with little ones to register their kindergarten students.
Important information needed to register your kindergarten:
Children must be five(5) years old on or before August 31, 2023,
Proof of immunizations is required, and
Parents must provide a legal, state-issued birth certificate.
Day Time Custodian
Sherrie Acevedo is our new daytime custodian. She is doing a fabulous job keeping our building in shape throughout the day. You'll notice a nice clean entrance and frequently swept halls, plus more! Please be sure to encourage her and share your appreciation.
Security Updates - ACTION
All staff, certificated and classified, on recess duty, need to wear a high-visual vest when supervising recess. When I am covering recess duty, I too will be wearing an orange vest. This is not a traffic cone, a vest of shame, or a dunce cap; it is a safety measure. This is one of many security enhancements that we are putting in place. Thank you for helping increase our safety measures.
Additionally, all classroom doors must be locked and shut throughout the day. If you open a door with your keys, make sure you relock the door, this requires a full, counter-clockwise rotation. I have had two staff share this concern with me.
Fire Drill
Great job with the fire drill last week. We had three new helpers jump in to learn the routine and expectations of a fire evacuation. Thank you, Dani, Sherrie, and Chanel. Our dill lasted just under 6 mins. Thank you, team!

It is the time of the year that we present our health-required curriculums. Nurse Sherri has sent letters home and will host a parent preview night on May 23rd at 4:00 PM.
