K8 Memo

The Mary Walker Boys Track Team made a significant impact at the state tournament with a 1st place team finish.  Teko took first in high, long, and triple jump, and 200. Donny took 6th in the 400, 6th in long jump, 2nd in triple jump, and 7th in high jump. Zeke took 9th in high jump and Conner and Dylan finished just outside the top 10 in their throwing events.

Representing the Charger Ladies, Tia took 1st in triple, 1st in long jump, 5th in javelin, and 5th in high jump.

Great job Chargers!

Points of Interest

12 Days Left

Not that any of us are counting, but we have only 12 days left in this school year.  Let's make the most of our last few days.  Please find ways to celebrate your students…encourage and praise them for their hard work.

ABC Field Trip: ACTION NEEDED

By Thursday, please make contact with families of students who will not be attending the ABC field trip.  I want a phone call or text to be made home for all students being excluded, additionally, please be sure to send the following letter home: LETTER TEMPLATE

You will need to make a copy the letter, then add your name and share you master copy for me to sign. A call and a letter need to be sent home to all students being excluded from the field trip.

Due to some scheduling conflicts and a need to have male chaperones, the k-2 grades will take their Camas Field Trip on June 6th and the 3-5 grades will go on June 7th.  This is flip-flopped from our calendar.  Please make sure that your field trip parent volunteers and participants complete their volunteer paperwork.

Evaluation Meetings

Over the next two weeks, I will connect with all certificated and classified staff to review your end-of-year evaluation.  At this meeting, I'll share your evaluation and discuss a few topics/questions regarding school improvement.

Summer PLC Unit Planning Workshop

Are you interested in participating in a summer work session to continue unit planning? Please let me know, we are looking at planning a PLC Summer Jump Start!

FastBridge Assessment Schedule

We continue our k-3 FastBridge assessments this week.  Please see Diane's MTSS note below.

Character Strong/Purposeful People

Please continue to do your weekly Character Strong/Purposeful People lessons.

Kindergarten and Pre-School Registration

Please encourage families with little ones to register their kindergarten and pre-school students.

MTSS Update

MTSS Roundtable Process

I emailed FastBridge log-in information to grades 2-8 on 5/18. Please check to make sure the list is accurate. I've done my darndest to update it according to homeroom, but it's something of a moving target. Computer-based assessments for grades 2-8 take place the week of May 30, including SAEBRs and mySAEBRs. We are cruising right along through the early learning tests; thank you to my terrific testing team!

Due to issues getting subs, Brett and I are working on an alternative to the data review day originally scheduled for June 8.
