Good Monday Morning! I am out of the building today, attending the Rural Alliance Conference. Matt will be in and out of the building, and Mary will be available too.
Thank you to everyone who helped with the Family Night Out event. It was a great success!
Adlai Stevenson famously eulogized Eleanor Roosevelt with the statement, "she would rather light a candle than curse the darkness, and her glow has warmed the world." It is so easy to get entrapped in the darkness of our job; however, I genuinely believe that every one of us is called to our profession to make a difference in our student's lives. This week, I would like to encourage you to be a lighthouse and shine a light of positivity on the struggles and frustration of public education. We are making a difference and helping our students to grow! Thank you for the dedication and care that you give each day!
Tomorrow is Halloween! It is an exciting day for many but is not celebrated by all. I have received some calls from parents who have shared various concerns; I have assured these parents that we will be focusing on teaching and learning throughout the day and that our celebration will start at 2:30. Please stick to this schedule and maximize our learning! Reference the community Halloween memo for our costume guidance…students should not be given free rein in the bathroom to dress up…I need all teachers to supervise and make sure students are being responsible in the bathroom.
I will visit Mrs. Stricker's and Ms. Gearhart's classrooms at 2:00 PM for my Halloween Zombie transformation. Stricker's classroom won the Charger Spirit Award, and Gearhart's room has a special parade activity. I am looking forward to seeing the fun celebrations.

MTSS Updates
Please complete SAEBRs if you haven't already done so! This data helps us identify student needs as are are brought up through MTSS roundtable discussions and at Student Support Team.
I am out for a medical appointment on Monday the 30th. Arrangements have been made for all of my normal groups.
Teachers, you are able to access progress monitoring data and set groups up as well if you want to monitor a skill. I can show you how to do this; just let me know if you need assistance!
