Good morning!
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. It certainly did not disappoint with a stunning aurora borealis show, warm and sunny weather, and Mother's Day celebrations.
It's that time of year when things can get quite busy. I appreciate the collaborative support and shared leadership as we finish up testing, plan field trips, prepare for celebrations, and coordinate field day - and there's much more to come. Thank you for your commitment and dedication. Together, we've got this!
PBIS Field Day (Action Needed)
On June 13, our PBIS Field Day will take place on the football field, marking the last day of school. I am delighted to have high school students volunteering to assist with the event!
I encourage you to have your class help in the planning by creating a prize basket for the PBIS drawings. This could be a great opportunity for each classroom to create engaging baskets and have some fun. Please click on the following link to sign up and donate a prize: tinyurl.com/24k5fieldday. You can select a suggested prize or select the Donor Choice option to create your own themed basket or prize.
Additionally, please reach out to parents and community members who may be interested in supporting our PBIS drawings with a donation or who would like to help with the event!
PLC Tuesday (Action Needed)
Please use your PLC morning time on Tuesday to connect and collaborate with your teaching partner. Next week will be our interim staff meeting time.
Teaching and Learning Evidence (Action Needed)
I would like to express my gratitude to those who have already submitted their evidence items. Kindly ensure that you provide a minimum of three items that showcase the teaching and learning atmosphere in your class. You may choose from classroom data, special projects, feedback on student work, or a photo of an activity. Please include a brief 1-2 sentence description for each item.
Memorial Day Reminder (Action Needed)
In your weekly class memo, please remind families that school is not held on Memorial Day but on Friday.
SBAC Testing
This week's testing schedule is outlined below, It is imperative that we test at least 95% of our students, so please review the schedule carefully and monitor your class roster.
For our middle school students, a make-up testing session will take place tomorrow in the k8 conference room. Elementary make-up sessions will be offered on Wednesday, with further details to follow. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
High School Decision Day
Mark your calendars for Tuesday, May 14th at 9:30AM, when the high school will be hosting its Decision Day in the Auditorium. This joyous occasion is a tribute to all high school students who have enrolled and been accepted to college. As a district, we are committed to enhancing our students' outlook and mindset toward school, and this celebration is just one of the many ways we are achieving that goal. We are thrilled to announce that the middle school will also be participating in this event.
Meet Your Farmer Day
Join us for lunch on Tuesday and enjoy a delicious meal of chili and fry bread. Additionally, we're excited to host a "Meet Your Farmer Day" event with Baea from Inland Empire Beef, one of our trusted beef suppliers. During the session, Beau will share fascinating insights about the industry. We hope to see you there!
